Experience in Immunosuppression
Roche is strongly committed to improving the long-term outcomes of transplant recipients.
Roche has developed innovative therapies that improve graft and post-transplant health:
-
CellCept® (mycophenolate mofetil) is the #1 branded immunosuppressant in the U.S.13 CellCept is indicated for prevention of renal, cardiac or liver allograft rejection in combination with cyclosporine and corticosteroids.
CellCept was first approved for use in combination therapy for the prevention of acute organ rejection in kidney transplantation in 1995. It has since been approved for prevention of organ rejection in adult heart and liver transplantation. This therapeutic success represents over 10 years of clinical experience12 and a well-established safety profile.
Over the last decade, CellCept has been cited in more than 2100 publications.11 Research is ongoing both in organ transplantation and is also being explored for use in autoimmune diseases. Our hope is to provide clinical benefit to a wider range of patients.
-
ZENAPAX® (daclizumab) is indicated for the prophylaxis of acute organ rejection in patients receiving renal transplants. It is used as part of an immunosuppressive regimen that includes cyclosporine and corticosteroids.5
